Rebuilt front porch with an emphasis on curb appeal and utilization as a publicly viewable artist studio. Resolved drainage issues by regrading and installing storm water collection and re-use system. Re-designed bathroom layout for more efficient use of space. Built back deck off kitchen and installed french doors.

Covered Bridge 1993 Farrell’s Creek Subdivision in Eastern Chatham County

Plumcreek Estate – A great example of the “Not So Big” approach to residential architecture, which has been popularized by Sarah Susanka. My design way back in 1981 began with the “build better, not bigger” philosophy and evolved into a modular incremental add-on flexibility.
The idea of building a small, affordable cottage and then expanding over the years into a larger house is a very old idea, and one that was used all over America (and the world) until the past century.
